  1. Inform user to keep browser window open until 'Upload Complete' is delivered

We have users attempting to upload files into our Drive that have closed the browser or even just the browser tab prior to receiving the 'Upload Complete' message. This has caused either no file or only partial files (if multiple uploads) to be populated and in every instance no notification email was sent. This left the user thinking they had provided files and us not knowing they ever attempted the upload. This leads to confusion and miscommunication.

I am suggesting to simply add a message to the upload screen informing the user to keep the browser/tab open until they receive…

  2. Allow the creation of new sub/folders within the folder selection widow for new uploaders

So that when I go into the "select" location to choose a folder for the files to go, i can create a new subfolder on the fly (so i dont have to log into drive separately, create the sub folder, then come back to driveuploader to select it).

  3. File name and type not shown...

Once the user uploads a file or two, they need to see the name and file type displayed in the upload window to confirm an error wasn’t made in the upload procedure. Instead of showing the file(s) queued, you overlay the name and email entry field so the user has to send it blind with no confirmation of accuracy to the file being sent.

  4. Fix the logo in GSuite and GSuite Admin

Currently (Jun 2020) the Drive Uploader logo does not appear in the GSuite Admin pages, and does not appear in the Google Apps drop down list in GSuite. Instead a triangular grey ! logo is displayed.

  5. Email notification to the sender

I think it would be nice if the uploader of a file gets an email notification when the file is received succesfully. Sometimes sending fails. When after closing the connection the filesize is zero bytes in the destination location, then a failure notification to the sender email address would be nice as well.

Please allow uploaders to be categorized/organized by allowing users to search, sort, and create folders.

  8. Add your own introductory text under logo/business name

It would be great to have an option to add a sentence or two [custom text] under the logo/business name for specifics. E.g. "If you have any issues, please contact...", "Having trouble using Drive Uploader? Watch this video here..."

Would be great to assist users and give it a more friendly feel :)

  9. Consumer-friendly products

On the front end where the uploader is asking for Name and Email - be able to add additional custom fields so that it can be identified and automated on the backend. Also, provide a more consumer-friendly uploader with forms and attached metadata if you are going to charge the 14.99. It would make sense to me if it was more consumer-friendly.

  11. View 'History' of Upload requests I have sent.

Is there a way, (and if not it would be a great feature): to see a list/report of all the Upload requests I have sent. and even better; have this report include if a file(s) upload was completed for the Upload request. History would include when request was sent and when it expired. (thanks, and this appears to be a great product)

  12. Moving between "Drive Uploader" and "Support"

When I am in "Support" (support.driveuploader.com) for nothing can I find a link (on the Support page) to return the the Drive Uploader main page. This would be helpful to have, (or easier to find if already there).

  14. HIPAA Compliant Uploader

Many medical professionals use GSuite Google Drive for its HIPAA compliant storage and file sharing. If you aren't already, DriveUploader should offer a HIPAA compliant version of your service to help patients easily upload documents to their providers HIPAA compliant GSuite account.

  16. Put uploader's name in email subject

Put name of person who uploaded files in subject field of notification emails for easier identification.

E.g. instead of "New files in [folder]!" make it "New files from [name] in [folder]"

Email software that use threading of messages (e.g. Gmail) will clump all that day's uploaded files into one email thread, because the subject is always the same. This is making it very difficult to track and manage incoming files.

  18. Allow uploaders to reset the iFrame embed to upload more files

Currently, if an uploader adds files one at a time to the iFrame embed, it will prevent adding more files once the first file is uploaded...the workaround is to let the user know that they have to refresh the entire page the embed is on.

There are a few ways to solve this:
    * Very, very quick: add a link to the iframe completion page of ("Upload more files") that simply refreshes the page inside the iframe
    * Don't replace the upload dropbox with the progress bar or completed files so it's always visible.

  19. Allow style changes to the iFrame embed

As a paying user, I would like a textbox to provide CSS that would then get dropped onto an iFrame embed page associated to my account in order to better brand the embed to my own site.

  20. Offer Better Plans

You offer a great product but in my opinion the plans are horrendous. To use something as simple as the Javascript API costs $14.99 per month and that's utterly ridiculous. Consider a completely different approach to Plans where you offer all of the functionality regardless of the Plan but the Plans are by maximum number of uploads per month or consider selling a one-time license instead of a monthly subscription (which I think is the best option). To pay $14.99/mo to have access to a Javascript API is unheard of and very different from any other vendor I have ever…
